World Curling’s brand transformation blends a modern identity with a respect for tradition, captivating a global audience with strategic design.

World Curling, the governing body of the iconic Olympic sport, sought to refresh its brand identity to align with the evolving sports landscape. The goal was to create a contemporary look that respected the sport’s rich heritage while appealing to both existing and new fans.

WePlay was appointed to lead this rebrand, ensuring the new identity reflected curling’s core values and positioned it for future growth. Additionally, we designed and developed a new website to complement the brand transformation.

We worked closely with World Curling’s leadership and National Federations, conducting a series of workshops to understand the sport’s values and vision thoroughly. This collaboration informed our creative strategy, enabling us to craft a modern, scalable brand identity that balanced tradition with contemporary appeal.

The new brand design incorporated elements reflecting curling’s unique dynamics, such as the ice and sweeping motion, while also targeting a younger, global audience. Simultaneously, we designed and developed a new website that aligned with the refreshed brand identity, enhancing user experience and engagement.
