Team Vitality

WePlay was appointed by the leading eSports organisation Team Vitality to help grow Instagram and TikTok social media channels.

Team Vitality, a renowned French eSports organization established in 2013, has professional teams and content creators across Europe and India.

Having started strongly in League of Legends, they quickly diversified to include professional teams for games like CS:GO, Valorant, Rocket League, and more.

After acquiring several high-profile eSports athletes, the team aimed to capitalise on this by quickly growing its audience. To achieve this, they focused on expanding their presence on Instagram and leveraging their recent entry into the TikTok platform.

To improve Team Vitality’s social media presence, we conducted a thorough analysis of their channels and competitors, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement in their content. We provided insights into the types of videos that would resonate with fans who are aware of gaming teams but do not currently follow Team Vitality on social media.

We segmented the audience by relevant games and tested various interests, hashtags, and behaviours to grow the audience effectively across channels.

Through our experience, we found that on TikTok, three key indicators for successful content are the elapsed time since launch, engagement with the video, and the number of views. By focusing on these areas, we were able to highlight the best-performing content and drive audience growth.

Working closely with Team Vitality’s content team, WePlay was able to significantly increase its follower base, providing opportunities for monetization through various strategies.
