Our partnership with Olympique de Marseille entailed the delivery of an end-to-end marketing service.

This combined digital strategy, analysis, and performance marketing to deliver incremental data, audience and revenue growth, helping OM to achieve their marketing and commercial objectives.

Both our offices in London and Paris worked in collaboration, acting as an extension to Olympique de Marseille’s internal marketing team. WePlay’s remit covers several workstreams:

With average home attendances falling under 75% during the 2018/19 season, WePlay developed a digital media strategy using a variety of different methods to raise awareness and drive ticket sales to fixtures at France’s largest club stadium, the Stade Vélodrome.

We utlised local audience insights, special offer campaigns and family messaging to engage and introduce new audiences into the Olympique de Marseille connected fanbase.

As with other campaigns including e-commerce, social growth and Olympique de Marseille memberships, we utlised a blend of creative strategy and detailed audience targeting to ensure that the right message, was served to the right person, at the right moment, to achieve each specific business objective.

We further expanded Olympique de Marseille’s connected fanbase, which has been used to retarget and generate revenue across different D2C workstreams and can be utilised for future seasons.
