We are delighted to announce that WePlay won the Bronze award for ‘Agency of the Year’ at this year’s Sports Business Awards.

Having already been awarded ‘Agency of the Year’ at last year’s Football Business Awards, WePlay were looking to follow suit at #SBA19, which took place over a celebratory lunch at the Brewery in London on Friday 31st May, London, UK. This year marked the inaugural year for the ‘Agency of the Year’ category.

The judges’ panel includes a vast array of experience in the sports industry, including CEO of England Netball, Head of BBC TV Sport, Chairman of Sport England and former British sportspeople (to name a few). Although we didn’t come home with the winner’s medal, we are proud to have taken home third place, as it’s another step on our amazing journey.

Congratulations also to our clients who took home awards. England Hockey and their Events Team won Gold in the ‘Best Operations Team’ category; a category where Deloitte Ride Across Britain & The Ryder Cup came second and third – two events in which we have been fortunate enough to work on. PGA European Tour won ‘Best Sports Event of the Year – Overseas’ for The Ryder Cup and England Hockey also won Silver for ‘Best Sports Event of the Year – UK’ for the Vitality Hockey Women’s World Cup. Well done to all other winners and nominees.
