WePlay, the multi-award winning performance-driven sports marketing agency, partnered with Leaders In Sport last week and were one of the leading sports organisations in attendance at the annual Leaders Week London conference. With more than 3,000 director-level delegates from all over the globe at the iconic Twickenham Stadium, it was a busy week of engaging discussions at one of the world’s largest sporting conferences.
Inspired by our critically acclaimed Playbook ‘How To Win On Facebook: Strategies For Sports Organisations To Drive Revenue & Results’, WePlay’s booth was a fantastic showcase of our work for clients from across the global sports landscape; all designed by our brilliant in-house creative team. With many top sports industry professionals already aware of the Playbook, meetings were held with numerous sports organisations looking to win in the digital age.
It was great to see clients including LaLiga, Facebook, Human Race and Paris Saint-Germain represented at the Sports Business Summit, with PSG’s Chief Digital Officer Russell Stopford taking part in a discussion on how to build and monetise digital audiences. We are proud to be supporting Paris Saint-Germain in their marketing efforts via our Intelligence, Creative and Performance divisions.
Likewise, as an official Facebook Marketing Partner, it was also good to see our friends at Facebook represented on stage by Director of Sports Partnerships Peter Hutton. His 1-on-1 discussion with DAZN’s Executive Chairman John Skipper about direct-to-consumer distribution and the role of OTT platforms in the sports media landscape rightly highlighted the importance of delivering the right content, to the right audience, at the right time. We’re fascinated by the OTT space at WePlay, and our work includes campaigns for sports broadcasters Eleven Sports and Premier Sports, as well as the first UFC app in the MENA region for UFC Arabia.
Leaders Week London was an intense but productive week of meeting like-minded top sports industry professionals, chatting all things performance-driven marketing, exploring how WePlay’s expertise can help brands and sports organisations win in the digital age, and handing out a lot of our Playbooks which were in hot demand!
We’d like to congratulate our partners Leaders In Sport on a successful conference, and are looking forward to the next event.
