After a successful creative refresh of Müller Anniversary Games 2019, WePlay and British Athletics partnered to creatively refresh and reinvigorate the full portfolio of British Athletics indoor and outdoor events.

After a successful creative refresh of Müller Anniversary Games 2019, WePlay and British Athletics partnered to creatively refresh and reinvigorate the full portfolio of British Athletics indoor and outdoor events.

Our Approach


After diligent scoping and analysis across the athletics and sporting creative landscape, we presented British Athletics with an overarching season key visual that was then adapted across the portfolio of events. This highlighted the British Athletics culture and range of disciplines as well as visually referencing the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

This highlighted the British Athletics culture and range of disciplines as well as visually referencing the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Final Score


The project resulted in the development of all digital, offline and stadium design work, including: Overarching all-event key visual, individual event adaptations, paid media advertising creative, website creative, print media adaptations and stadia adaptations.

Year-on-year the enhance creative resulted in a 57% increase in click-through-rate and a 51% decrease in cost-per-click.
