Job Summary


As a result of our high growth strategy, WePlay requires an experienced Operations Manager to join our team. In this key role you will be responsible for the delivery and efficiency of client workstreams, both through internal and external resourcing requirements and project management. You will lead the coordination of activities that affect operational decisions and business requirements, also having responsibility for the planning and communication with members of the team, to ensure delivery deadlines are met.

Primary Responsibilities


  • Manage all resource requirements for the agency, including Client Services, New Business and Studio, ensuring internal resource is fully utilised and billable time across projects is maximised
  • Forecast upcoming projects and match to internal teams or source external support [if required]
  • Build a ‘Black Book’ of freelance contacts, predicting need and capacity for future projects
  • Own time tracking platform and ensure the team are allocating time to the correct tasks and projects
  • Help develop client estimates, with commercial knowledge and adjustment of rate cards
  • Build and maintain strong relationships and communication with key stakeholders within the agency, including Client ServicesDirector
  • Develop Operational KPI’s based on team capacity, profitability and project budget management and roll out across the business, reporting to key stakeholders on a regular basis
  • Audit departmental requirements and provide recommendations to improve productivity and collaboration
  • Develop and implement systems, policies and processes to ensure that operational management within the business has the highest levels of integrity, helping to maximise efficiency and profit margins
  • Manage client and project revenue forecasting, reporting weekly updates

You Will Have


  • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Resource planning experience, including studio
  • Strong organisational, commercial, time management and prioritisation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal stakeholders, at all levels of the agency
  • Excellent written grammar and verbal communication skills
  • A passion for process and problem solving
  • Ability to work autonomously and at fast pace, influencing key decision making
  • A strong ‘can do’ attitude, with ability to challenge the status quo
